VITAL Upgrades
Glass Mountain Optics has developed a modular glass replacement for legacy acrylic mirrors in a joint engineering effort with Flight Safety. Modules will renew the performance of scratched or damaged mirrors and are form, fit, and function equivalent to the original VITAL IV optics.
Vital IV replacement modules are available through Glass Mountain Optics or Flight Safety.
Additionally, Glass Mountain Optics offers replacement beamsplitters for VITAL IV systems. These beamsplitters offer GMO’s Class 45 coating with high efficiency anti-reflection coatings.
Optical Spares and Upgrades
GMO offers optical spares including collimating mirrors and beamsplitters. Technical assistance is available to determine optics compatibility as well as installation of components. Monitor replacements are available for either raster-calligraphic or raster only systems. Interface solutions for retrofitting legacy monitors are available as well as installation and testing.
GMO can upgrade virtually any legacy WAC window system with new mirrors and beamsplitters or by refurbishing existing mirrors. New or refurbished mirrors combined with new high efficiency beamsplitters improve brightness and contrast restoring legacy systems to original specifications.
Installation
Glass Mountain provides installation of replacement monitors, mirrors and beamsplitters. Installation includes:
- Baseline testing of optical performance
- Retrofit of components and reintegration
- Acceptance Testing of integrated optical systems
- Component operations and maintenance training
